As a training consultant, I have 15 years experience in working with schools in the independent sector, assisting their leaders and teaching staff in developing more effective relationships with key stakeholders, especially parents. I have designed and delivered bespoke courses for senior leaders and staff within schools, as well as one to one coaching and mentoring,  and in doing so have developed an excellent understanding of their issues and needs.

During my career with a leading American educational travel company, my focus was  on the pro-active management of client expectations and the successful handling of crisis situations, pioneering the design of a training course that set the industry standard. This course enabled delegates to gain a teacher training certificate and received an accreditation from Cambridge University. 

 

More recently, I have developed and run management courses for middle and senior managers in independent schools in all areas of communication including delegation, running effective meetings, managing staff and teamwork to ensure they garner the best from themselves and each other. My most popular modules are on communicating with parents. The relationship with parents can be a pivotal one in any school, and equipping the staff with the tools to get the best from their dealings with these influential stakeholders is essential.

In addition, I have run a number of team-building and facilitation days  for corporate clients .

My work is based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) principles of training and communication which enables  people to effectively transform the way they traditionally think and act and to adopt new successful models of behaviour.
